ABSTRACT
This project focused on the challenges of costume and make-up in Nigerian home video. It also highlights the role costume and make-up plays in film production in Nigeria. In this work, we examine the concepts of costume and makeup and the role they play in the home video Queen Sheba. We will examine them within the context of the Nigerian home video to identify the roles they have played in portraying the character, setting of the film, creating realism, establishing the identity of the actors and in suggesting the historical period of the film. We will then proffer possible solutions towards the better utilization of these accessories for the production in Nollywood.
